Prof. Dr Gouri kumar Prusty, MCh, FACS, FICS is one of the finest neurosurgeons and outstanding citizen of India with international recognition as an expert to treat brain, spine & peripheral nerve disorders, injuries, pathology and malformations.

Dr Prusty's clinical acumen & surgical expertise is phenomenal. He has decades of experience in complex procedures both for Adult and Children. Dr GK Prusty served as the National President of the Neuro Spinal Surgeons Association of India(NSSA), Association of Neuroscientists of Eastern India(ANEI), NeuroTrauma Society of India(NTSI), and Member of the EB of Indian Society for Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery(ISSFNS). He is the Member of the Board of Advisors of International Neuro Trauma Societies(INTS). <br
Dr Prusty is the founder of the neurosurgical unit at Bokaro General Hospital,Jharkhand. Presently he is attached to the Calcutta Medical Research Institute & Woodlands Multi Specialty Hospital ,Kolkata.

As a social responsibility he runs free weekly clinics and provides free consultation to patients from all sections of society. He also waves off his surgical fee.

He has become synonymous with neuro care at the Calcutta Medical Research Institute.

He authored the Indian Guide Lines for Management of Head & Spinal Injury. His Publications on various Neurological and spinal diseases are available at Research Gate and Google Scholar.
